This was an experiment in culinary school. After I decanted the first batch of vinegar, I put my mother in a plastic bag and took it back to my apartment. Each proceeding batch from that same mother kept getting better and better. After I moved, My girlfriend at the time thought this was a disgusting mess - and chucked out my mother in the dumpster.
