That old fashioned taste and quality!

As a kid growing up in New Zealand, my folks owned a fish and chip shop that also had eight tables as a restaurant. I remember the taste of the malt vinegar that was liberally served both with the take-out meals and the table meals. Modern commercially made malt vinegar might have the acid profile, but it never replicates that taste. American Vinegar Works Beer malt vinegar, especially that made with the porter beer, is exceptional. I bought the small bottle at first, but soon went back for the liter bottle. it brings back a lot of memories... Who would have thought a vinegar was capable of that?
